I’m building an AI web app for hard conversations on early-stage teams. It helps the person who holds a team together read each teammate, find what’s behind the friction, and choose what to say next.

Training, eating well, and higher-protein sourdough. I’ll keep notes from outside work here. For now, here’s the sourdough recipe calculator I built.
Sourdough Lab ↗Currently building and exploring
I’m interested in how machines sense and understand the physical world. I’m learning about robot manipulation and locomotion, and asking whether a small world model that understands a single physical system can run in real time on an edge device.
I’m Wen-I Liang in my research papers and Spring Liang everywhere else.
I did my PhD in Taiwan and spent four years at Berkeley Lab before moving into startups and working with Taiwanese manufacturers.
Outside work, I bake sourdough, roast coffee, and work out.
More about me →I’d like to meet founders, researchers, and early teams doing this kind of work. I’m open to early-team roles, co-founding, and research collaborations.
If our interests overlap, I’d enjoy hearing from you.
Spring Liang, PhD, is a materials scientist and founder based in Taipei. Spring did research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, co-founded Elos Skateboards, and has worked with Taiwanese manufacturers on strategy and operations since 2022. Spring is currently building an AI web app for hard conversations on early-stage teams, and exploring physical AI.
